Pixel Computer Club Website

High school 2000-2001

Pixel was a student organized computer club that I started at Saline High School. We were basically a community of people who encouraged exploration and peer help in the broad area of computers. Trying to learn html? use Microsoft Office? Whatever it was, we were a community of people set on making learning new technologies easier.

The website maintained a roster of all the members (we had 24 in the end). Some of those people set up individual bio pages which are linked to from their icons seen in the screenshot. Apart from the news feed, faq, and link manager (all dynamic apps), the pixel website allowed its members to submit and maintain “projects”. Once you submit all the information about your project, you’re able to update your progress by posting follow-up news items on the project.
